Thermco’s new ACCRT8002 Data Logger is the most powerful logger designed to meet today’s CDC’s and VFC’s requirements for Vaccine Storage and Monitoring. The ACCRT8002 is a SELF CONTAINED DATA LOGGER that requires NO PC SOFTWARE to generate a complete Excel CVS report. Monitor both the Ambient Room and Refrigerator (or Freezer) Temperatures Simultaneously. Large Easy to Read Display for viewing the current Room and External Bottle Probe Temperatures Min and Max Recorded Temperatures -- Time and Battery Strength. Each Thermometer is Certified, Serialized and Traceable to NIST in Thermco’s own ISO17025 Calibration Laboratory, accredited by ilac-MRA to assure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements. An introduction to how to use a data logger such as an internal temperature data logger, temperature and humidity data logger, dry ice temperature data logger or an external temperature probe data logger.
Finally, there is a practical and affordable solution to meet the temperature monitoring requirements for the Vaccination/Immunization and VFC (Vaccine For Children) Program. The CDC states that improper storage is the most common cause for loss of vaccine potency and effectiveness they experience. Vaccines need to be kept at certain temperature ranges to maintain their efficacy. For refrigerated vaccines, this temperature is between 36°F to 46°F. For freezer vaccines, this range is 5°F and lower.

One of the most important safeguards for the nation's vaccine supply is proper storage and handling. This program highlights the keys to maintaining the vaccine cold chain in a provider facility. This training will address elements of proper vaccine storage and handling, procedures for storage and handling of vaccine, and components of vaccine inventory management. For more detailed information, refer to the toolkit at https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/admin/storage/toolkit/.
