This transmission was in failsafe mode when I got it in. It actually felt like a bind up, you put it in drive and it would not roll. It had two connectors swapped and a broken connector for the cpc B linear solenoid.
So you have a Flashing D4 and now your transmission shifts hard and your wondering what the D4 Flashing means , well that is pretty much the check engine light for your transmission its saying hey something is wrong check me NOW . It can be from low fluid level to dirty trans fluid, a shift solenoid and even the linear solenoid the p700 code pretty much pops up anytime the d4 flashes and p1768 is the linear solenoid , now on this CR-V i changed the linear solenoid and it still wouldnt clear the code so i swapped the ecu which is the tcm in this unit and no more flashing d4 Also flashing D4 puts your transmission into limp mode creating the harsh shifts The P0700 code comes on with any code for transmission, so that one will always be there for other codes. Here are some of the most common symptoms for each of the code. P0700 - Shorted or open circuit within Transmission Control Module (TCM) - Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM) P0730 - Low transmission fluid level - Dirty transmission fluid - Shift solenoids - Transmission mechanical problems - Transmission hydraulic control circuit P0715 - Faulty Transmission Speed Sensor - Transmission Speed Sensor harness is open or shorted - Transmission Speed Sensor circuit poor electrical connection P1768 -Faulty Linear Solenoid Hope this helps you out.
This is a video on how to clean your transmission solenoid screen filters. If you're having problems with your transmission, such as slipping, slow shifting, failure to shift, random shifting, or aggressive shifting, please give this a try before you resort to spending thousands of dollars fixing or replacing your transmission. This is a relatively easy job and best of all, it's FREE to do!!! Please note that you do NOT need to drain your transmission fluid to clean these solenoids. You can take them both off without making a mess. My 2002 Acura TL-S with 209,000 miles on original engine and transmission was having all these problems after getting CEL code P0740, and now after cleaning these tiny filters, the check engine light is still off and the transmission is working like new!! Check below for updates on how my car is doing! Miles driven after cleaning filters: 150 Miles - So far so good 500 Miles - still running strong! 1000+ miles - perfectly fine. We can easily say this was the problem and solution to my transmission problems! 9000+ miles - Currently at 218,000 miles. Need I say more? Update: 4/22/17 - Encase anybody is curious, my car is currently at 238,000 miles and still running strong!!! ADDITIONAL POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: ***The following part numbers and fluids are for my specific car. Please double check online and in your car's manual for exact parts*** - Dirty transmission fluid will also cause transmission problems. Check how dirty your fluid is. Does it look nice and red? Or is it a really dark red, brown, or even black? If it is dirty, I would highly advise doing a 3 quart drain and fill ASAP. Make sure to use Honda ATF DW-1. If you didn't already know, this is the new and improved formula that replaces the old Z1. Don't use any aftermarket fluids, use Honda! I would recommend doing a 3-quart drain and fill once every 15,000 miles from now on. A case of 12 quarts is $89.00 on eBay from seller "livermorehonda." Buy it! I will make an instructional video on how to do this soon! So keep an eye out! - If your ATF level is too high or too low, this can also cause problems. To check it: 1. Bring your vehicle up to full operating temperature. Letting your vehicle idle only warms up the engine, not the transmission. So warm up your vehicle by going on a short drive. 2. Park your car on a level surface, not on a hill or incline. 3. Turn off your car. 4. Check your ATF level via the dipstick and adjust the fluid level as necessary. - Most people don't know or think about it, but our cars have an exterior transmission fluid filter. If this filter has never been changed or at least not for a while, this would be a good time to replace it while your car is apart and everything is easy to get to! Part number for my car is 25450-P7W-003. Costs about $43.07 plus shipping. This should be the same ATF filter for all TL's from 2000-2003, but please double check on acurapartsforless.com. - Lastly, the solenoids themselves can go bad. I have had people tell me getting new solenoids have fixed their transmission problems. This is why I put an Ohm test at the end of the video. Don't just ignore it! - Also, try entering your CEL code on autocodes.com for more information. This website can give you good information on the possible causes for getting this code, tech notes, when the code is detected, possible symptoms, and the description for your CEL code. Hello youtube! Are you guys having a transmission problem? You have a blinking D? Your speedometer does not work anymore or malfunctions sometimes? You have a check engine light? Your automatic gears are stuck? You cannot manual shift? Well hopefully, you have a small problem like me! I thought my transmission was finished until i used my OBD 2 READER and read two codes : P0722 : Output Speed SEnsor No Signal and P0723 Output Speed Sensor Malfunction. Luckily, this could mean that your output sensor has a electrical problem. It could be Input Speed Sensor too. If you've never touched the engine bay, it could be that the sensor just died or the connector cannot bring proper signals back to the ECU. In this video, i show you the location of both Input and Output Speed Sensor. I had 4 symptoms : Check Engine, Flashing/Blinking D , Speedometer no longer works and Stuck Gears. If you really want to drive your car because you have no other means of transportation, simply disconnect the sensor you're having problem with and your car will work. It's just the gears will be shifted rough and in more delay. ►If you want a good ABS / SRS / CHECK ENGINE reader instead of reading flashing lights, nothing beats Autel. This is a teardown inspaction of an Acura Transmission. I shot this video very late at night, so please forgive me for the lack of focus because my tools were acting against me...but, after ovrcommong the frustration, I think I managed to give you as accurate information as I could. I DO Recall that I kept saying 4th gear on the 3rd gear that is smoked on this unit. 3RD gear was SMOKED! The filter was restricted. As you saw as wel, the internal small filters in the valve body were also restricted. These restrictions will give you FALSE trouble codes...if you get any...since these issues don't give you any codes until it is too late! THIS IS NORMAL ON HONDA'S...Sorry but is real....

(ATF) Acura Part No.: 48160-RWG-003 on a 2001 Acura Mdx with a 3.5 L V-tech V6 engine This part I picked it up at my local Kenny u pull and it was $2 I know to music is loud, but I forgot the radio on when I replaced this part! and in order to hide the radio, I had to put the music a bit louder! SORRY

Replaced the transmission speed sensor on my girlfriends Acura TL, it’s been blinking a green light on the dash and I’ve lost PRD shift letter on the dash ... it fixed the blinking light and shifts better but didn’t return the PRD letters if anyone has any suggestions give me a hand in the comments below thanks for watching see y’all soon with more videos !
