Welcome to the nation's newest high-performance computing facility dedicated to studying the Earth and Sun. Located on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Cheyenne, the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center officially opens its doors in October 2012. Within its walls, many aspects of our planet's workings can be captured in unprecedented detail. The results could help us protect our wired society from solar storms, reduce the toll from the next disastrous hurricane or tornado outbreak, chart the critical supplies of water and energy beneath our feet, and address many other concerns. Scientists from across the nation will use the NWSC--primarily via the Internet--to study weather, climate, oceanography, air pollution, space weather, computational science, energy production, carbon sequestration, and many other features of the Earth system. Funded by the National Science Foundation with additional support from a broad public-private consortium, the NWSC has achieved LEED Gold status. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized rating system for green buildings developed by the U.S. Green Building Council for evaluating environmentally sustainable construction. NCAR is managed by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research. More about the NWSC: http://nwsc.ucar.edu ©UCAR. Reuse of this video is restricted and permission must be sought from UCAR. Here's a quick video made of footage taken over a 7/8 week period following eight Lurcher puppies who were born here at the rescue in 2015. It was difficult not to fall in love with these playful bundles of fun, and while a rescue environment isn't always ideal for puppies, we do what we can to help them develop into well rounded, social pups who are ready to face the world head on when they arrive in their new homes. All of these puppies (and mum!) have been rehomed.

The survival of arts organizations is crucial. We put our heads together and created The National Center for Arts Research (NCAR). We are a toolbox for arts and cultural organizations. Find us at http://bit.ly/SMUNCAR2017 and follow us @artsresearch.
Our first big downhill ride on Longboards. Iceman is riding a sanctum board and I am on a Yocaher.
It is so cold outside... That's why I installed Velocidrone, and rebuilt the NCAR Graft Racing track of this summer. Scaling and distances was extracted from Google maps. I compare the simulator to the recording of 'Gare FPV'. Pretty much fun!
Dolly was rescued from a situation where she was being bred from for money, unfortunately she also had a 1 week old litter of 10 with her! A busy rescue center isn't the best place for a litter of pups to be during such a vital period of their development and learning. But between Dolly and the rescue staff we did our best and all pups now have a home. Dolly however is still looking for a home... http://www.ncar.org.uk/portfolio/dolly/ Adam - www.k999.biz
