Alibaba Group founder & executive chairman Jack Ma said the inspiration to set up Alibaba was after he read about Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) in a newspaper 20 years ago. He said this during the launch of Alibaba Group’s first office in South-East Asia on Monday.
