Here is the recipe: 1 Cup Brown Sugar 1 TBSP Black Pepper 1/2 Cup Coarse Salt 1-1/2 to 2 Lbs. Salmon (Preferably Wild Caught) PREPARATION Place the Salmon in a large resealable bag. Mix dry ingredients and apply to salmon. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours. Rinse the cure and dry with paper towels. Set Traeger to smoke with lid open until fire is established. Smoke salmon for 30 minutes (Skin-Side down). Increase to 225°F-230°F. Cook salmon for 45 min-1 hour. Refrigerate until serving time. This is the initial start-up of my new Traeger PTG (Portable Traeger Grill). The inside of the unit is coated with oil from the manufacturing process. This oil must be burned off before cooking. I am off camera because you need to see the grill, not me.

This is how I cooked my burgers to a medium (160 degrees) using my Traeger grill. Hope you find it helpful. It is super easy. In this video I did not focus on making the hamburgers. Using the Traeger, you'll see that you do not even need to flip the burgers! The process takes about 20-25 minutes if you have the temperature set to 350-375.
Today I was smoking a pork roast on 180 deg for a couple of hours. All of a sudden smoke started pouring out of the grill and pellet box. The pellet box got so hot you could not touch it and the temp gauge went to over 400 deg. It made a poping sound and the lid flew open like there was a small explosion in it. The grill is only 9 months old and I only use Traeger hickory pellets in it. About 20 minutes later it went back to operating normally. My wife and I are scared to use it again as it seems like a fire hazard. The pork roast survived, but it was too smokey tasting and ruined.
