Giddings Texas a little town outside of Nazi Germany. During a traffic stop I decided to exercise my Texas rights and not give my drivers license to the police officer and instead "display" my license as the law states. When I didn't hand over my license the cop got butthurt because I didn't bow down to him. Just because I exerted my American right the officer retaliated by harassing and intimidating me. In Texas you DON'T have to give your drivers license to a police officer when pulled over driving, you only have to "display" your license. Also my 4th. Amendment was violated when the cop searched me and pulled a battery out of my pocket. Just exactly what type of weapon did the officer think it was, being the size of a quarter and square to justify reaching in my pocket to pull it out? Officer D. There's no law that says you must hand over your drivers license to a police officer, you must "display" it. 2:58 One nosy motherfucker! 6:30 Terry frisk - A suspect can only be frisked on their outer clothing for "weapons." Cops can’t go rummaging through your pockets. The officer may ask the suspect about the object. The officer can’t squeeze it, slide it around, otherwise manipulate it, but NOT pull the object out of the pocket. You can see the cop pull a battery the size of a quarter from my pocket if you look in the car window when I'm being searched. HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) - One of the newest additions to a local police department wasn't an average rookie officer. The Hamilton Police Department was very aggressive in trying to recruit new officers. They were pushing for diversity and going out to the neighborhoods to try and tap new talent. A neighborhood visit paid off with one new recruit passing on a teaching career, to protect and to serve. Hamilton's newest police officer was learning about the importance of community relations. For new recruit Aaron Grant, it was a bit of a role reversal. The former school teacher was back to the role of student learning about how to become a police officer. Grant spent ten years as a teacher in the Madison School District. He was teaching phys-ed when a student opened fire, wounding four students nearly one year ago. He got a real taste of high stress. Grant is 36-years-old and he was eligible to become a Hamilton Police Officer after the department eliminated its age requirement. There were more people with life experience applying to become police officers. Ironically, one of Grant's former students, Brittany Sorrell, was a member of last year's Hamilton police recruit class. Grant said he was reminded of that by his fellow recruits. It was July 2016, when Grant decided to walk away from teaching. He went to the Great Oaks Police Academy, graduated, and was just sworn in as a Hamilton police officer. He said he was diving into his new career head first. Hamilton police said applications were up since the department waived the age requirement. One recent applicant was 51-years-old.
