Feb. 6, 2013 -- Turtleback Zoo, NJ -- 2 Bald eagles were making a bit of noise chattering to each other. Some searches defines this as "Chatter Calls" to my surprise ... This video was shot thru a wired fence.
It is Sunday morning and the bell ringing is from a church mass that is next to and behind my back yard ...
Looks like a yearling deer now, as it grew up as the fawn that i seen in my back yard all this past summer. There were 3, who at first were just laying on the ground in middle of the yard, that's how comfortable they were. So i sneaked around the corner of the house to take pictures/video. This was the bold one, who stomp and strut back and forth facing, staring at me (and pee too, see other video). i bet he was pissed at me for bothering them. Nov. 10, 2010
Jackie Fricke - Top Alcohol Dragster was in the right lane .... This is the 2nd qualifying run on Friday August 5, 2016 for the weekend event .... It looks like the engine smoked and immediately exploded causing Ben Dier to swerve right , rolls , chutes come out and crash into the right wall to stop him and lands right side up .... Looking at the video ,, Ben gets out by himself very soon after stopping ... and it was announced he was ok .. 2016 NHRA Northeast division 1 NED - drag racing at Atco Raceway - Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series LODRS
This video was taken 10 months ago, but i just got the music from a friend. Historical B29 with new drum music. I shouldn't have to say anything more about the history but B29 is located at the Smithsonian Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Video date = 2010 May, video uploaded April, 2011.
I walked thru this female's web and it was on me, so i put the spider on a stick to take some pictures and video in the sun. I was surprised at what it did when I looked at the pictures and video, where it was shooting a silk line about a foot away. The spider started by anchoring on top of stick, then shot maybe 2 lines near the top and it did not hold, so it gathered the silk up in a bundle, which you can see. But this video does show it shoot (about the 8 second time stamp) when it moves down lower and make a good anchor, turn around to pull/test the line for holding and then moved away from my view in the end of this video. I suspect the first line anchors did not hold good, because it was to a plastic tub, as oppose to a branch or plant.. where it probably would have held with no problem. This is a forest denizen and harmless to people, and only female make webs. So spiders do shoot silk just like spiderman in the movies. I was manually focusing and when it moved away, it was too hard to focus and follow.
This has been happening for a few days, that Bluejay Dad is feeding 2 of them. The fledgling can fly and are capable of feeding them selves but i guess, it's still nature's way that a parent will continue/want to feed them.
Deer with 4 x 4 rack... When i was videoing this, i only saw the odd stance and shaking, and it was only after looking at the video, that i see him urinating. pee ,, i think he pissed on his hind legs too.,, if he was smart, he would have spread them wide open ... (Notice,, when he see me, he stops peeing and then hides his face in shame)....just watching nature. i was focused on him, because he was rutting on that facing tree. Grumman F14 Tomcat close up walk around showing the sides, front view, rear and a top view...at the Smithsonian Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center air and space museum ... 2010 may 15. This has the marking from last assignment with VF-31, Tomcatters, see tail insigna, USS Abraham Lincoln. I see a AIM-9 Sidewinder on both wings, a AIM-7 Sparrow on port wing, drop tanks under intakes, and looks like JDAM and AIM-54 Phoenix (starboard center) under fuselage, not sure about JDAM. See the dual pod nose mount camera and IRST (Infrared search and Track system) and gun hole on port side nose. 1989 Jan 4 - BuNo 159610 was one of pair F14A VF-32 USS JFK, that each shot down a Libyan MiG-23. Different references seem to say this was the lead and other say this was wingman. In the incident, the wingman used a sparrow in a head on Mig kill within 6 nml, then the lead used a sidewinder in rear quadrant kill @ about 1.5 nml on the other Mig. Search BuNo. 159610 wiki reference for some details and great information. Little more something, as i searched for info.. Port nose has a painted medal, stating " I Gave so Others could Fly" as this jet was cannibalized for parts in one of the iraq wars. Then this was painted by volunteers from VF31 for the museum. http://www.nasm.si.edu/imagedetail.cfm?imageID=1044 great looking condition and wish this was still flying, ,,, just have to admire a plane that has a great history. hard to find music that does not violate copyright too..this time, not that loud a recording.
