A classification by Design Lights Consortium (DLC) that must meet higher efficacy and lumen maintenance requirements. DLC promotes energy efficiency in the commercial lighting market by working with manufacturers and utility companies to provide rebates and guidelines for products that meet DLC standards. Requirements being; 1. higher levels of Efficacy 2. TM21 calculation demonstrating L90 is greater than 36,000 hours, and 3. a driver documentation/testing to prove that the maximum driver temperature supports a rated life of 50,000 hours or greater. Customers can get a bigger rebate if they purchase a product that has DLC Premium. There are two ways to check: 1. You can search on the DLC website under Search QPL (Qualified Product List) and 2. DLC Premium logo on GE spec sheets.
