Video on how to diagnose and repair a 2001 Dodge Neon that idles up and down once started. This same method can be used to diagnose many different makes and models. Also it shows how important it is NOT to listen to people who don't know about cars OR just want to sell you things you don't need
The IACV valve is operated by a step motor. This motor has winding phases and is actuated by the output signals of ECM. Each time the IACV opens or closes to change air quantity, the ECM sends a pulse signal to the motor. A certain voltage signal is issued so that the valve remains at a particular opening. Check with your vehicle's repair manual for testing parameters. This happens to be a '97 Nissan Maxima. »»» Subscribe: http://youtube.com/carsntoys »»» Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Carsntoys/118041931705993 »»» Website: http://carsntoys.net »»» Music: Cielo by Huma-Huma ***OTHER VIDEOS THAT MAY INTEREST YOU*** --- Wheel bearing replacement with basic hand tools: https://youtu.be/B4EW_cJrzIE --- Choosing the best oil filter: Wix XP / Amsoil / Royal Purple.. https://youtu.be/kx-NT1DEtlU --- Touch Screen car radio install: https://youtu.be/ZZ_WYUIAI0o Tools Used: Safety Glasses Digital Mutli-Meter Phillips Type Screwdriver Note: Any attempt to repair automotive parts and/or systems carries risk of personal injury. 1996-2000ish Sebring Convertibles suffer from a common problem -- the odometer goes blank sometimes and eventually stops working altogether, as do the tachometer and speedometer. This is a surprisingly simple fix that only requires basic soldering skills, and getting into the dashboard is really quite simple as well -- I did most of it with one hand while holding the camera! I recommend watching the entire video FIRST so you know exactly what to expect, but you should be able to do this in under an hour.
Clean EGR port: 30 to 60 minutes ($10 / $100 / $125) Error code P0403: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAjR6X9KNHc In this video I helped my brother clean the EGR port in the intake manifold just behind the throttle body. This cleared the error code P0401. It was on his 2001 Malibu, I'm sure this process is the same on many other GM vehicles like, Impala, Lumina, Malibu, Buick Century, Pontiac Grand Prix SE. ------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLPVaRK9sDU How to search my videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt9w-ZSxs9I Visit my Website for special took, my wish list and other helpfull information: http://www.RobertDIY.com

Welcome to Buckley's Auto Care, http://www.buckleysautocare.com. 302-999-8285. Today we're showing you how contaminated a throttle body can get from just normal driving habits. It is advised to periodically clean the upper plenum and throttle body to remove buildup that can rob you a fuel mileage. In some cases, and when able, remove the entire throttle so that it gets thoroughly cleaned from the from to the back. If you are in need of a throttle cleaning or your vehicle is sluggish, call us today for your next appointment. Thank you Greg Buckley Buckley's Auto Care

Vacuum leaks are one of the biggest causes of engine performance problems. This video is pretty straight forward in it's approach to finding a vacuum leak. On thing I might mention is that not all vacuum leaks are at the engine. Some HVAC systems run on engine vacuum and can cause a leak under the dash in some cases. I've even seen vacuum operated door locks. Just be sure to be careful spraying flammable stuff on a hot engine, you don't want to take one problem and make it a whole lot worse. You can also use a spray bottle with water to do this same test. It may not be as effective, but you don't have to worry about spraying a flammable substance on a hot engine.
