Visiting BNI If you have joined a BNI chapter or have been involved in one of a while I know the BNI Connect site isn't exactly user friendly. Here is a quick video on how to register your visitor for your BNI chapter. This is really important for a visitor day or just having your visitor come to check out your chapter. Registering them will give them a reminder of the address, and anything else you might have told them. Make sure you are preparing your visitors telling them to bring plenty of business cards and having a 30 second commercial of what is a good referral for them. http://redbeardedmarketing.com/how-to-register-a-visitor-on-bni-connect/
As part of the Get Connected Stay Connected series of educational moments, today we will be reviewing how to invite a visitor through BNI Connect. Often times when we are out networking, for example at a mixer or after hours event, we have the opportunity to verbally invite someone to visit our BNI Chapter. This is great, but often times it lacks some of the details needed for the potential visitor to come to the meeting, such as the meeting time, date and address. So we may then return to our office and put together an email with some of this information, but sometimes we struggle with just the right words. BNI Connect has a great function for being able to send a very quick email to a potential visitor. The best part is that it is branded and has just the right amount of information. As part of the Get Connected Stay Connected series of educational moments, today we will be reviewing how to update your status message in BNI Connect. Your BNI Connect status message is a great place to store a quick blurb about what you are doing, an important fact about your business, or even a brief story! It is only 200 characters, so you do need to keep it brief, just a little bit longer than a tweet on Twitter. Once you have saved your message, your connections and anyone looking at your profile in BNI Connect will be able to see what you have to say. If you have been following along for the past year with the Get Connected Program, we would love it if you would share a brief success that you have had using BNI Connect.
